XEX 606-1 Dash 1 Revolver The Beatles

Description:

This is the first press of Revolver.  This has the slightly different mix of Tomorrow Never Knows.  Rumour has it that John Lennon didn't like the mix and asked George Martin to have the new mix used instead.  The pressing plant was stopped mid-flight so that the new mother plates with the new mix could be used.   

I met George Martin in Hull around 2004 when he was doing a talk for a charity.  I asked him if he recalled this as being correct but he did not.  He had no memory of that story at all.  So who knows what really happened.  What I do know is that this first -1 press is rare.
